The Browns' 2020 NFL Draft Hat is Both Awesome and Incredibly Weird
By Will Coleman
One of our favorite NFL Draft traditions is watching selected players walk across the stage to shake commissioner Roger Goodell's hand and trying on their team's draft-exclusive hat. Unfortunately, we won't get to see that this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that didn't stop New Era from releasing their line of caps anyway.
While there had been leaks of some of the 2020 draft hats, we hadn't seen the entire collection until Tuesday. The 2018 edition was pure trash and last year's were almost equally as bad, but this year they turned a corner. Though, many are unsure how to feel about the one designed for the Cleveland Browns.
It's a big step up from last year, but this Browns hat probably has fans scratching their heads and asking questions. With help from Cleveland's original two logo designs, the creative people at New Era came up with this.
Not bad! But we're sure Brownie the Elf is going to be hit or miss among the fans.
Nonetheless, this is undeniably a major improvement on New Era's end, especially after how poorly the last two versions were received.
