Browns Activate Kareem Hunt From NFI List Clearing Him for Practice
By Michael Luciano
Despite his checkered past, the Kareem Hunt era is poised to start in Cleveland.
The Browns running back, who was released by the Kansas City Chiefs following the release of a video that showed him kicking an woman on the ground, has been activated off of the non-football injury list and is officially cleared to start practicing.
Hunt was suspended for the first eight games of this season, so it will be a while before the Browns will get to see his talents on the field.
After Hunt lead the league in rushing during his first season in the league, he piled up 821 yards in 11 games before being dropped upon the leaking of that infamous video.
It remains to be seen what his role in the offense will be given the presence of Nick Chubb and Duke Johnson, a Freddie Kitchens favorite, on the roster, but OC Todd Monken is creative enough to get Hunt involved once his suspension is up.
If you can play, some team will be willing to look past all of your baggage and find a role for you, and Hunt still has plenty of elite football left in the tank.
