Browns Are Out of Their Minds Requesting to Interview Josh McDaniels After He Bailed on Colts
By Thomas Carannante
The Cleveland Browns fired head coach Freddie Kitchens after one season and a 7-9 record. Kitchens, who many would say was the wrong hire to begin with, though he had the organization's support, but alas, this is the Browns we're talking about, people.
And now, Jimmy Haslam and Co. have another brilliant idea that, if it comes to fruition, will probably backfire right in their face. According to reports, they've asked the Patriots permission to interview offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
The Browns, a team desperately in need of stability, are kicking off their interview process by speaking with a man who accepted a job with the Indianapolis Colts two years ago, only to ditch the offer and rejoin Bill Belichick in New England.
Cleveland fans can only hope Urban Meyer or Mike McCarthy are the more realistic options for the Browns.
While McDaniels is from Ohio and this would be an option close to his roots, the Browns need someone they can rely upon without second thought. McDaniels is not the right guy for the troubling situation in Cleveland.
