VIDEO: Baker Mayfield Proves He Has No Idea What Push-Ups Are With Incredibly Weak 'Push-Up Challenge'

For months, I've defended Baker Mayfield against the haters who've claimed he's out of shape, too short, or "barely looks like an athlete" (OK, fine, I wrote that one in January). But this...this is damning evidence. Mayfield used his quarantine time this week to join the "Push-Up Challenge" on Instagram, calling out some friends to drop and give him 10, after Jarvis Landry had previously tagged him. Cleveland's QB asked us to excuse the floppy hair, but he didn't ask us to excuse his form.

When do the push-ups start?

I'm no expert, but I'm fairly certain your stomach is supposed to approach the ground on all 10 attempts, not "lightly dip, while your back sags and wrenches itself into a knot." These look like relatively fun push-ups to do, honestly.

They also look a lot like how I used to complete the Presidential Physical Fitness Test in fifth grade. Hey, if Bill Clinton can't do the sit-and-reach, neither will I.

Mayfield's got weapons and protection this year to an excessive degree, but let's hope he gets his body and mind right before taking the field.

Shortcuts like what we watched above won't cut it in the AFC North.
