Devotees might recall that Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams used to have the same job with the Cleveland Browns. When head coach Hue Jackson was fired, Williams was the one who stepped up in an interim capacity and led the team to a spirited run that saw them begin to show glimpses of what was truly possible.

Long story short, he didn't get the full-time head coaching job and ended up leaving for the Jets. And now that Gang Green is taking on those very same Browns this weekend, Cleveland's Damarious Randall volunteered some choice words for his former defensive coordinator. And he did not hold back in doing so.

“I’m happy he didn’t get the (head coach) job here," Randall told Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. "Because if Gregg would’ve gotten the job here, I would have requested a trade immediately."

Yikes.

“I don’t got no love for him at all," the defensive back added. "Me and him know what it is. It is what it is."

That Williams isn't everyone's favorite guy is not news; he was, after all, temporarily banished by the NFL after it was revealed in 2012 that he was the architect of the Saints' "bountygate" scandal. But Randall's rebuke is both harsh and pretty much out of nowhere, making this weekend's reunion even more heated. Get strapped in, folks.
