Browns Missing Top DBs Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams for Sunday Night Showdown
By Ryan Flores
The Cleveland Browns are going to have a very shaky secondary for Sunday night's showdown against the Los Angeles Rams.
On Sunday morning, a report indicated that Denzel Ward would be out for Sunday's game with a hamstring injury, but those in the know were optimistic that Greedy Williams would be able to play. Things have unfortunately taken a turn for the worse, as Williams will also be inactive after battling his own hamstring injury that he suffered late in the week.
The Browns are very thin on available defensive backs, following this news. They'll have to carry on with TJ Carrie, Terrance Mitchell, Tavierre Thomas and Robert Jackson at corner.
This is a serious blow for the Browns, as they are also without safeties Damarious Randall and Morgan Burnett. Cleveland will have to adjust swiftly, as the Rams have a trio of game-breaking wideouts in Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks at their disposal.
Injuries are starting to pile up on all fronts for the Browns, and with the bye week still four weeks away, they'll have to continue to adopt the next man up mentality for a while.
