Browns GM John Dorsey Could Be Fired After This Season
The Cleveland Browns have failed to meet expectations in 2019. That has led to talk of the team firing head coach Freddie Kitchens after just one season, but the firings could go beyond the head coach.
General manager John Dorsey is reportedly also in danger of losing his job, according to ProFootballTalk.
The report states Dorsey's job is "not completely" safe. That could mean many things, but what it does show is that Browns owner Jimmy Haslam may be considering blowing it all up yet again.
Dorsey took over as GM at the end of the 2017 season. Since then he has fired Hue Jackson, hired Freddie Kitchens, drafted Baker Mayfield No. 1 overall, traded for Odell Beckham Jr., and has generally made the team better in terms of talent.
Yet with all the talent has come problems and a lack of wins. There appears to be a disconnect among players on the roster and Kitchens was clearly the wrong hire.
All of this does fall on Dorsey's shoulders, but firing him would be a drastic move and could set the Browns back once again.
