Browns Set to Interview Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy for Head Coach Job Friday

The search for a new head coach in Cleveland is on, as the Browns are set to interview one of the hottest candidates on the coaching carousel, Chiefs' OC Eric Bieniemy.
With the team already having concluded interviews with Ravens' OC Greg Roman and former Packers HC Mike McCarthy, Bieniemy will now get his chance to impress for the position vacated by Freddie Kitchens.

Given Bieniemy's success building an offense around Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City, it's no wonder why the Browns felt the need to bring him in for an interview so early in the process. With the notable struggles that the team faced on offense this past season (despite a host of incredibly talented players), an offensive-minded coordinator (and former player) like Bieniemy could be exactly what this team needs to turn things around in 2020.
Bieniemy has been a busy man of late, as he's garnered interest from the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants as well, with two interviews set up this week.
Schedule update:
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) January 2, 2020
— #Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy will interview with the #Panthers today for their HC job.
— Ex-#Packers coach Mike McCarthy will interview for the #Browns job today.
— #Cowboys defensive passing game coordinator Kris Richard will interview for the #Giants job today.
With several more accomplished coaches in contention for this position, Bieniemy's candidacy still manages to stand out, despite his small sample size as a coordinator.
