The Cleveland Browns provided a positive update on their defensive end Chad Thomas after a scary injury saw him carted off the practice field Monday.

The team recently announced the 23-year-old Thomas is day-to-day with what is being described as a neck sprain. He is considered day-to-day going forward.

Thomas went down during a play at Browns' training camp, causing concern from his teammates and coaches. The defensive end was immobilized and needed a cart to escort him off the field. Thomas was then rushed to the hospital in an ambulance for further testing and evaluation.

As head coach Freddie Kitchens described, Thomas showed no signs of serious injury, as he was able to move all extremities. Further testing is required, but it looks like the worst is behind Thomas and the Browns.

And Thomas himself doesn't seem to be worried about it in the slightest, having the most "football guy" attitude possible for someone who just suffered a neck injury.

Sprained neck? Just rub some dirt on it.

The former Miami Hurricane was drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Browns and is looking to contribute to the defensive line this season, after only seeing limited opportunity in 2018.
