Browns Once Again Having 'Ongoing Discussions' With Redskins for Trent Williams and Must Close Deal This Time
By Mark Powell

The Browns have a Trent Williams-sized hole in their offensive line. Thankfully for them, the Redskins left tackle is very available for the right price.
The Williams saga in Washington has been rebooted time and time again dating back to last year, but the 31-year-old remains on the roster despite the Redskins giving he and his agent the opportunity to seek out a trade.
With the NFL Draft just a day away, now is the time for Cleveland to strike.
There are definite discussions going on with the Cleveland Browns regarding trading Trent Williams.

Highly unlikely the Jets would be involved. Stay tuned folks. #httr #redskins #TrentWilliams
The Skins' asking price has to be as low as it's ever been, as they'd love to cash in on draft capital while they still have the chance. If Cleveland truly wants to add the elite but expensive tackle to their roster, they must act soon. Otherwise, they're stuck waiting for him to hit free agency when the time comes.
The Browns' main goal of adding protection for Baker Mayfield in April's showcase is clear, and they're likely to add at least one offensive lineman on Thursday. By trading a mid-round pick for Williams, they can further solidify a unit that stands out as one true weakness for a team otherwise built to be on the rise.
With one big trade done and final, could another one be on the way? The #Redskins have talked to multiple teams about a potential trade of LT Trent Williams, sources say. With the NFL Draft a day away, and a physical necessary, the clock is ticking ⏳

The stubborn nature of Dan Synder and Redskins management is the only reason Williams remains on their roster to this point. If they're finally tired of the headache they've created for themselves, the Browns can take advantage.
