Browns-Redskins Trade for Trent Williams Rumored to Be 'Done'
By Jerry Trotta
Rumors regarding a potential Washington Redskins-Cleveland Browns trade for left tackle Trent Williams picked up (again) on Wednesday.
The Browns' interest in the seven-time Pro Bowler has fluctuated all offseason, and now it seems that general manager Andrew Berry is ready to complete a deal. Per the latest buzz, a trade that would send Williams to Cleveland is "done."

In return, the Redskins are expected to receive two draft picks: a third- or fourth-rounder in 2020 and a second-rounder in 2021.
At this price, the Browns should absolutely pull the trigger. The franchise would be still be able to hold onto its No. 10 and No. 41 overall selections. Depending on how this plays out, Cleveland might also be able to retain one, or possibly both, of its third-rounders.
We were never really against the Browns acquiring Williams. The 31-year-old would fill a gaping hole on their offensive line. Washington's asking price was just reported to be beyond ridiculous.
This new package, however, is certainly more reasonable.
If this trade comes to fruition it would create an entirely different narrative regarding Thursday night's NFL Draft. With the No. 10 pick, Cleveland has long been projected to select an elite offensive lineman. That could still turn out to be the case, but acquiring Williams would give the Browns a plethora of options, including trading down to accumulate more picks.
Get ready for a big night, football fans!
