Browns Reportedly Sign Former Ohio State Star Braxton Miller
By Mark Powell
Folks around these parts know what Braxton Miller can be at his best.
The former Ohio State star was electric during his time in Columbus, leading the Buckeyes from both behind center and in the slot. In the NFL, Miller has struggled to gain much footing, but perhaps a chance to revisit an area he's quite familiar with will allow the 26-year-old to tap into some of that potential.
The Browns are taking a flyer on the gamebreaker.
Miller was drafted in the third round by the Houston Texans in 2016, only to be waived before the start of last season to eventually sign on with the Eagles practice squad. With the Eagles needing the services of a formerly-retired backup QB in Josh McCown over the weekend, Miller was the victim of a roster crunch.
Still, here's just a taste of what Miller is capable of in the open field, should he get the chance to shine in Cleveland.
The Browns wideout corps is set at the top, with the likes of OBJ and Jarvis Landry in the outside spots. Yet, there might be room for Miller to make an impact further down on the depth chart, as Antonio Callaway will serve a four-game suspension to start the season.
