This Draft Day Trade Between the Browns and Texans Involving JJ Watt Could Net Houston Jerry Jeudy

Bill O'Brien isn't the most popular man in Houston right now, as the Texans head coach/GM traded away star receiver DeAndre Hopkins for pennies on the dollar.

In what could be a nightmare scenario for the Texans, but a dream windfall for the Cleveland Browns, trading to acquire the No. 10 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft might be the best way to restock.

The Houston Texans need to look to the draft to find their next Hopkins, but they might have to pull off some stunning moves to get this done, including a trade featuring JJ Watt.

Watt, who has been perpetually injured over the last few years, could be traded to the Browns for the No. 10 pick in the 2020 draft, which could be used to select Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

The Browns can offer the Texans one of either Olivier Vernon or Sheldon Richardson to minimize the impact on their defensive line and salary cap in addition to the No. 10 pick.

Watt is still the best 4-3 defensive end in football when he's healthy, and adding him could take the Browns from pretender territory to the rarified air of the AFC favorites. If this deal gets done, Houston will have replaced Hopkins with a potential All-Pro in Jeudy, while Cleveland forms the best pass rush duo in football between Watt and Myles Garrett.

O'Brien might get run out of town if he overcompensates for trading Hopkins by dealing Watt, but it might be the only way for Houston to find their next great wide receiver.
