It's been a week since the Cleveland Browns released talented but troubled wide receiver Antonio Callaway.

As the dust begins to settle on Callaway's tenure in Cleveland, offensive coordinator Todd Monken was asked what the effect of the wide receiver's release has had on the Browns offense. He gave a pretty straightforward and blunt answer.

Ouch. That's pretty harsh.

According to Monken, Callaway's absence will have ZERO impact on this Browns offense. Of course, he's not wrong. In just four games this season, Callaway only logged eight receptions for 89 yards and zero touchdowns.

And in an offense featuring big-name weapons such as Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, Callaway had already become somewhat of an afterthought, even before his release.

Callaway filed an appeal on his 10-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, following his release from the Browns, but was unsuccessful. The 22-year-old is on waivers ready to be picked up by another NFL team but will be forced to serve his 10-game suspension upon landing with a new team.

While Callaway's talent was undeniable, his off-field issues largely outweighed his performance on the field. In the end, Monken had reach his limits.
