Browns WR Jarvis Landry Undergoes Hip Surgery

It wouldn't be a typical Cleveland Browns offseason without some tough news arriving for the coaches and fanbase. This time, it's Jarvis Landry in the headlines.
On Thursday morning, news broke the veteran wide receiver, coming off a huge campaign for the Browns, underwent hip surgery earlier this month. Fortunately, he'll have more than enough time to rehab and get himself ready for when September rolls around.

While there was plenty of drama surrounding Landry last season, including his 'come get me' incident, he's coming off a sensational year catching the ball from Baker Mayfield. In 2019, the LSU product hauled in 83 catches for 1,174 yards and six touchdowns.
With Freddie Kitchens out the door and Kevin Stefanski now running the show for the Brownies, Landry figures to once again be a huge piece of the offensive puzzle next fall. First, he'll have to get himself back to full strength.

For Stefanski and Co. this news might sting a bit now, but with Landry expected to be back during camp, this decision of his could prove to be what helps him stay healthy all of next season.
