Bruce Arians Explains Best Lesson He Learned From Bear Bryant

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians is reshaping the team's culture in his first year on the job.
Key to the massive change is what Arians explains is the best lesson he learned from Bear Bryant as an assistant at Alabama.
"A head coach who is a little bit feared is a good thing," says Arians.
A sense of fear directly contributes to a respect for the authority of the head coach, and that then allows Arians to squeeze the most out of not only his players, but his assistants too.
Football is a game that requires discipline, and he learned under Bryant that discipline leads to results out on the field.
The fear keeps the players on their toes, ready and willing at all times to go the extra mile for the coach.
The style worked for Arians as a head coach for the Arizona Cardinals. He finished with a winning record in four out of his five seasons with the team, twice making the playoffs.
Time will tell if things work out for him similarly in Tampa Bay with his new team.
