With Tom Brady hitting free agency, many expected that the quarterback would make a push for his new team to sign another star to join him at his new destination. That chatter inevitably dragged up Antonio Brown, who began to build a friendly rapport with TB12 after his brief one-game stint with the New England Patriots in 2019. But even though Brady has now reportedly agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, don't expect the team to make a push for AB.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has no desire to bring in Brown due to his experience with him while with the Pittsburgh Steelers. And quite honestly, we don't fault him.

It truly says something that Arians thought Brown was something less than a joy to work with during the two years as his offensive coordinator, as they were AB's first two seasons in the NFL. If Arians didn't enjoy working with Brown back then, why would he bring him in with all the baggage he carries now? It doesn't make sense, and it likely never will.

The Buccaneers don't have a desperate need at wide receiver. They already have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, both of whom recorded over 1,000 receiving yards last season and made the Pro Bowl. Would they necesarily need Brown even if he wasn't in such a questionable state?

The answer is simple: no.

Sorry, Tom. You can't have AB on your roster. But trust us when we say you're going to be just fine.
