Bruins Coach Had F-Bomb-Filled Tirade About Toughness During ECF Game 3 That'll Fire You Up

The Boston Bruins advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals about a week ago, where they will eventually face off against the St. Louis Blues for the Stanley Cup.

Boston advanced following their four-game sweep of the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals, but just because they eventually ran and hid on the scoreboard doesn't mean things weren't tight at some point.

In Game 3 of that series, the score was tied at 0-0 after the first period, which was extremely physical...in the wrong direction. That fired up Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy for an all-time intermission speech, which clearly worked.

Cassidy did not even attempt to censor himself knowing that he was mic'd up for the playoffs, dropping four f-bombs in a single quote to fire up his team for the second period. Visibly disappointed with his team's play early in the game, cursing every chance you get seemed to be the perfect way to get the squad to wake up, in Cassidy's eyes.

The head coach of the Bruins used defenseman Torey Krug to wake up the rest of the team, pointing out how the 5-9 D-man was getting thrown around every time he touched the puck. Telling his team to start competing and praising his goaltender for making "50 stops" while encouraging the other players to start playing hard was the perfect way to jumpstart everything, using Krug as the centerpiece.

Boston now has to prepare for a St. Louis team that has been on a tear in the new year, and will soon face off with the Stanley Cup awarded to the best-of-seven series' victor. Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals will take place on Monday at 8:00 pm ET in Boston.
