VIDEO: Brusdar Graterol Throwing Absolute Cheddar for Dodgers Should Bug Red Sox Fans
By Scott Rogust
Prospect pitcher Brusdar Graterol became the focal point of the Mookie Betts trade last month. Originally, the Boston Red Sox were going to receive Graterol from the Minnesota Twins as part of a three-way deal for Betts and starting pitcher David Price. Instead, the team had issues with his medicals, and rescinded their deal. After the revised trade, the Dodgers were the ones to end up with Graterol, and they're laughing their way to the bank. The 21-year-old lit it up on Wednesday night while facing the San Francisco Giants , and Red Sox fans, you might want to look away.
Graterol was dealing heat against the Giants, as he hit the 99 mph mark on two separate occasions with his nasty fastball. Healthy, it seems!
The youngster is projected to pitch out of the Dodgers bullpen in 2020, with the opportunity to become the team's future closer. Oh what could have been for the Red Sox, and it's all thanks to their buyer's remorse on the initial trade.
