Bryce Harper Calls Out Nationals Fans for 'Crossing the Line' With Heckling
By Scott Rogust

Bryce Harper had 330 million reasons to leave the Washington Nationals for the Philadelphia Phillies, but in hindsight, it didn't work out the way he had envisioned. Neither did his final trip to Washington in 2019.
On Monday, the Phillies were officially eliminated from playoff contention by the Nationals. Twenty-four hours later, Philadelphia allowed Washington to clinch an NL Wild Card spot at their expense. There was no way things could get worse for the Phillies star.
As it turns out, it did, as Harper called out Nationals fans for heckling him in the eighth inning of Wednesday night's game, which the Phillies lost 5-2.
Bryce Harper said Washington fans crossed the line with their heckling in eighth inning. He was not happy. Said he was eager to get back to Philly and the great fans there

Harper mentions that he initially had no problem with fans sitting in the right field seats of Nationals Park chirping him. While he didn't elaborate on what was said in the eighth inning and beyond, he said it "crossed the line."
Bryce didn't expand on what was being said. But he did say this: "I guess that's what it is nowadays. Like I said the whole time, I've got 60,000 fans up in Philly that appreciate as a player, appreciate me as an individual and my family, as well..."

When it comes to a professional athlete jumping ship from one team to another (especially a division rival), there's going to be hard feelings from within the fanbase.
However, taking it this far to the point where a player feels compelled to say something to the media is a different story.
