Bryce Harper's Wife Goes After Nationals Fans After Heckling Got Personal on Wednesday
By Adam Weinrib
Bryce Harper and his family are proudly set to be Philadelphians for the long haul.
However, that doesn't mean they subscribe to all the tropes of Philly life. Though heckling is often encouraged in the City of Brotherly Love, the Harpers hold crowds to a high standard.
The star outfielder can't wait to get back to Philadelphia's fans after the week he's spent in Washington, he told the media on Wednesday night. And his wife Kayla backed up that assertion in full, going into a little more detail Thursday morning about what transpired late in Wednesday's game.
According to the Harpers, late in Wednesday's game, the crowd moved on from attacking the man who took a 13-year mega-deal to escape D.C., and moved on to needling him over his...infant son? We're not sure of the correlation, either.
Washington, it's natural to feel jilted by the man who you once pegged as your savior, but you did your talking on the field this year.
Shouldn't that be enough?
