Bucs Players Are Being Classy About Tom Brady Signing Out of Respect for Jameis Winston
By Dylan McCaffrey

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a lot to be excited about for the upcoming NFL season. They could have a real shot at a playoff appearance for the first time since 2007 with Tom Brady at QB -- and even a dark horse chance at a title.
But Brady is replacing five-year Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, and Tampa Bay's players have been careful to honor what he gave to the team by not reacting on social media to TB12's arrival.
I spoke about this on @ESPN -- I'm told that some Bucs players are refraining from reacting on social media right now out of respect for Jameis Winston. They're excited to be playing with TB12, but they're also anxious to see where Winston ends up.

It's a respectable move for Bucs players to withhold their public excitement for a new quarterback, even if it's the GOAT, given that Winston led the NFL in passing yards last season (5,109) and he still hasn't found a job elsewhere.
Bucs' Jameis Winston will be the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era to lead the NFL in passing yards, then play for a different team the following season. Not once before this, going back to 1967.

Brady took his starting spot, and now he'll have to look around a league with a lot of quarterback talent and not many available places to land.
But Winston certainly loved playing for the Buccaneers.
It's been a great 5 seasons as a Buccaneer. All love and respect, I love Tampa and I look forward to seeing y'all again in February. #SBLV #2020Vision #Dreamforever pic.twitter.com/MIPiCfreXW

It's still unclear where Winston will end up, as reports suggest that teams are worried about the league-high interception totals (88 since 2015) and the money he's looking for, but Tampa Bay players will be watching closely and hoping for the best for Winston.
