Bucs Head Coach Bruce Arians Had an Insane Quote About Ndamukong Suh

After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers unexpectedly released star defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, they didn't waste much time bringing in his replacement. The team signed Ndamukong Suh days after releasing McCoy.

New Bucs head coach Bruce Arians apparently loves the signing, and he hopes that Suh brings the same tenacity that made him a household name, albeit not always for the best reasons, during his time with the Detroit Lions.

Bruce Arians has been around the league for a long time now, and he's always had a passion for old school, in-your-face football. In his hay day, Suh was the epitome of that, and it seems like Arians is hoping the defensive lineman can conjure up that same type of intensity this year with the Bucs.

Suh was labeled a dirty player during his years with the Lions, where he violently threw QBs around and faced a few suspensions for late hits and cheap shots.

Unrivaled energy and doggedness is exactly what Arians is hoping Suh carries with him to Tampa, as the defense looks to improve off of a disappointing 2018 campaign during which they ranked 31st by surrendering 29 points per game.

The game has changed so much over the years -- some say for the best, while others say the league has gotten soft. Suh is the type of player who would have thrived had he played in the 1980s or 90s, when the rules for what you could do to your opponent weren't nearly as strict as they are now.

But hey, it doesn't appear that Arians cares much about that. He still wants Suh to go berserk every snap this season. Opposing teams should be fearful of the Bucs' defensive line, as Suh is now being encouraged to play his savage style of football.
