Panthers QB Cam Newton Has 'No Timetable' for Return After Aggravating Foot Injury
By Thomas Carannante

The Carolina Panthers are in a bad place right now and it's not getting any better.
Cam Newton had one of the worst performances of his career during Thursday night's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and now he's absent from Tuesday's practice.

That update did seem grim at first, but shortly after it was revealed Newton aggravated a foot injury and may not be able to take the field on Sunday.
#Panthers QB Cam Newton’s status for Sunday is up in the air after he aggravated a foot injury, per @RapSheet and me. He’s rehabbing while teammates practice. Ron Rivera talks later.

But it gets worse...
Marty Hurney says Cam Newton re-aggravated his same left foot on which he had a mid-foot sprain in the preseason. Team knee after the game he re-aggravated. No timeline. “We will see how it goes.”

The Panthers will be traveling across the country to face the Arizona Cardinals and top draft pick Kyler Murray, which won't be an easy matchup given how well they've performed through two games. The Cards were expected to be a doormat but used a huge fourth quarter comeback to tie the Lions and kept the game relatively close against the powerhouse Ravens.
If the Panthers are without Newton, they truly could be in danger of losing to one of the worst teams in the NFL. Hope you're ready for the Kyle Allen/Will Grier show.
