VIDEO: Cam Newton Hints at Looming Panthers Exit in Instagram Post

Cam Newton's looming exit from Carolina has been far longer and drawn out than originally expected, but it's still going to happen whether Panthers fans are ready or not. In a recent Instagram post, Newton hinted at such by saying he was unemployed during a workout.

We'll give Newton some credit for staying in playing shape while in quarantine, even though COVID-19 makes it nearly impossible for him to receive an adequate physical. Such a blockade makes it tough for the Panthers to find a trade partner for the former MVP, and with possible destinations dwindling, Newton's preferred role as a starter in this league might go by the wayside.
At his best, Newton was a wrecking ball who was growing as a passer. Yet, injuries over the last few seasons have limited his back-end career potential. Carolina was reckless in their usage of the Auburn product, and its cost Cam years of pro development.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but this message is for you.

Newton is still a top-end QB when healthy. As of now, though, it's unknown if he'll ever reach that career pinnacle again, and it's a damn shame.
