Cam Newton Panthers contract is wild

We've got a homecoming in the NFC South. That's right, with Sam Darnold injured, the Carolina Panthers have gone out and signed Cam Newton to a new one-year contract for the rest of the season.
Well, Newton can make up to $10 million with his deal? We're not making that up, as he indeed can bring in some serious dough.
Cam Newton contract terms: Up to $10M for rest of year, includes $4.5M fully guaranteed + $1.5M Roster Bonus, per source.

Everyone is calling out the Panthers for this contract and it's easy to see why. While Newton is an incredible athlete, there's simply no way he's worth this kind of money. His play has really dropped in recent years. He'll look to prove all of his doubters wrong here.
