Cam Newton Spotted Heading to Foot Specialist in Green Bay as Nagging Injury Problems Continue
By Michael Luciano

Cam Newton's injured foot, originally supposed to be nothing more than a minor ailment that sidelined him for a week or two, is now putting his availability for the rest of the season in doubt.
The Carolina Panthers quarterback, who hasn't played since a Week 2 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will reportedly travel to Green Bay for a meeting with Dr. Robert Anderson, a renowned foot specialist, to see what Newton's availability for the rest of the season looks like.
I'm told #Panthers QB Cam Newton is headed to Green Bay to visit renowned foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, per sources. A source of mine also spotted Newton on a plane this morning that landed in Chicago first.

A clearly injured Cam went 0-2 and did not throw a touchdown pass in two games this season. When his foot injury became so bad that he couldn't suit up for a Week 3 matchup against the Cardinals, Kyle Allen stepped in and threw four touchdown passes.
After getting beat up against the San Francisco 49ers, it appears that Allen might be all out of pixie dust, and that the return of Cam is necessary for the Panthers to stay afloat.
Kyle Allen's passer rating is 25.3. The 49ers beat him so bad, they might have revived Cam Newton's career.

Newton showed during the beginning of last year how good he can be in this offense when healthy, but it sounds like he is no closer to a return to action than he was a few weeks back.
