Cam Reddish Has Surgery to Clear Up Core Issue That Likely Led to Duke Struggles
By Adam Godfrey

Cam Reddish didn't live up to the hype for the Duke Blue Devils throughout the college basketball season, especially in the NCAA Tournament.
His struggles made some experts question whether or not he should stay at Duke for another year, but Reddish declared for the draft regardless of his critics.
The 6-foot-8 guard will have a minor procedure for a core muscle injury, which was reportedly nagging him throughout his Duke tenure, possibly contributing to his shooting woes.

The procedure will finally give him time to heal and return to 100% ahead of making the step to the NBA.
The projected top-10 draft pick will have a six week recovery period after the procedure, but it will be beneficial in the long haul as it will enable him to start his NBA career with a clean bill of health.

The ceiling for Reddish is extremely high, especially if he is drafted into the right system. His skill set at the two guard will help any team immediately and in the long run. Although he may be the lowest rated of the three star players coming out of Duke, he is still a projected high draft pick because of the potential upside he carries with him, most notably through his shooting ability.
