Canelo and GGG Agreeing to Trilogy Fight is the News Boxing Fans Desperately Needed
By Evan Wolff

If there is ever a time that any sports news is welcomed with open arms, that time is now in these days of the coronavirus. Luckily, the boxing world has gifted us with a gold nugget that should have fight fans excited for the future: GGG vs. Canelo 3!
The rivalry between Gennadiy Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez sounds like it's finally due to reach a conclusion, as the two sides have reportedly agreed to a trilogy fight. Alvarez, who gave GGG his first career loss in 2018 after first fighting to a controversial draw, will look to add to his incredible 53-1 record when the two will square off as soon as Sept. 12.

In light of everything that's been canceled or postponed around the sports, fans have been resigned to a level of disappointment never seen before. With that in mind, it's something of a godsend to hear some promising news at long last.
The COVID-19 pandemic feels endless. It's a legitimate cause of fear and anxiety. To know that there's some normalcy to look forward to down the line is worth standing up and cheering for.
