Captain Andrew Luck Returns From Hiatus to Promote COVID-19 Guidelines Including Social Distancing
By Scott Rogust
It's been less than a year since Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck shocked the world and announced his retirement from the NFL. In a corresponding move, the ever-popular Twitter account of "Captain Andrew Luck" also stepped away to follow the life path of his NFL counterpart.
Sunday marked a special occasion. Capt. Luck made his triumphant return for a good cause: to promote various coronavirus guidelines, including social distancing.
Tremendous words of wisdom from the Captain himself.
Luck is "writing a letter" to his mother to let her know that she must stay inside at all costs and wash her hands frequently. Senior citizens with underlying health issues are the most at risk of contracting and succumbing to COVID-19.
That's where the young can step in. Stay at least six feet away from others, limit the amount of times you leave your house, and more importantly, don't hoard specific items like toilet paper, hand sanitizer, or soap. Don't be that person, because you're only making matters worse for the rest of the world.
Capt. Luck is the voice we needed to hear during this difficult time. Heed his advice and work together as a human race. Once we do that, we'll be able to return to our normal lives.
