Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon has been turning heads for years, and it appears that the St. Louis Cardinals have grown fond of him.

Blackmon may be on the market again, and it doesn't take much to connect the dots to the Cards as a potential landing spot yet again. According to reports, the Cards and Rockies have attempted to strike a deal involving Charlie Blackmon multiple times over the years.

The two-time Silver Slugger would undoubtedly add some pop to St. Louis' lineup.

Though Cards insider Derrick Gould is theorizing that this means a Blackmon chase might get cut off this time and redirected elsewhere, we're not so sure.

Blackmon has been solid this season, sporting a .319 BA to go along with 21 homers, 60 RBI, and 74 runs scored. However, the MLB All-Star has experienced a decline in production as of late, with his batting average dropping to .246 over his last 15 games. The sliding Rockies aren't opposed to dealing Blackmon for the right price, and the Cardinals certainly have the assets to be competitive in a potential deal.

His best season as a pro came in 2017 when he hit a career-high .331 with 37 homers and 104 RBI. Not only did he lead the National League in batting average that year, but he also set the record for RBI by a leadoff hitter.

Whether or not the Cardinals will reach out to the Rockies once again remains to be seen, but adding a guy who has tremendous bat speed and power never hurt anybody.
