Cardinals Handled Josh Rosen Situation Like Complete Cowards Based on Latest Update

It's no secret now that the Arizona Cardinals botched the Josh Rosen trade. Not only did they not make him aware of a possible trade at all leading up to the draft, but they also waited until they had already selected Kyler Murray first-overall. It doesn't take an NFL expert to realize they lost all their leverage in Rosen trade talks once they took Murray.

With Rosen now in Miami with the Dolphins, news is still leaking out about how horribly the Cardinals handled him. On the Rich Eisen Show today, Rosen expanded on the Cardinals' catastrophic decision making.

It just seems ridiculous that a professional sports organization would handle something like this so childishly. Why not just pick up the phone and let your player know what's going on? Is it really that difficult? For Steve Keim, apparently it is.

The fact that his rookie head coach Kliff Kingsbury gave Rosen a call makes Keim look even worse. And let's not forget how mature Rosen looked with this heartfelt farewell video.

It's just a very immature way to handle a professional athlete and those around the league will take note. Unless the team has great success with Kingsbury and Murray right out of the gate, they'll be hard-pressed to find free agents that want to join them. No one's going to want to play under a guy who treats his players like this.

For Keim and his Cardinals sake, hopefully they learned from the experience and can repair their reputation.
