Cardinals Reportedly Interested in KBO Pitcher Kwang-Hyun Kim

The St. Louis Cardinals rotation took a hit after starting pitcher Michael Wacha signed with the New York Mets. While the big guns are off the market, GM Mike Girsch is getting creative to fill such an obvious hole.
In comes South Korea Wyverns pitcher Kwang-Hyun Kim. It has been one of Kim's dreams to pitch in the MLB, and now might be his chance. Kim was posted by his team, and MLB teams now have until Jan. 5 to sign the Korean star pitcher. The Cardinals are clearly interested in his services.
The Cardinals have emerged as a team interested in #KBO LHP Kwang-Hyun Kim, sources tell my colleagues at @YonhapNews. Kim as posted on Dec. 5, and deadline to sign a deal is 5 p.m. (ET) on Jan. 5. #STLCards #mlb #posting

Last season Kim pitched 190 innings, had a win-loss record of 17-6 and an ERA of 2.51. He seems like a superb option for any team in the MLB looking for great an upgrade in pitching.
However, with the power arms quickly fading in free agency Kim would be an intriguing fit in the Cards' rotation, especially for an ownership group perhaps not willing to break the bank this offseason.
Market continues to move on pitching. This, of course, was more than the #Cardinals were looking to chase with Bumgarner, by all indications from the team. But you knew that. Carry on with your Sunday. https://t.co/Y16nVq0D7v

The Cardinals are a team on the rise, and with a little rotation help and the right tinkering before Spring Training, they'll be favored in the NL Central once again.
