Cardinals Troll NHL Refs Over Botched Hand Pass Call in Blues-Sharks Game 3
By Jerry Trotta
The San Jose Sharks won a HIGHLY controversial Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the St. Louis Blues after a blatant hand pass led to the game-winning goal in overtime.
The NHL ultimately deemed it as an "unfortunate miss" by their on-ice officials in their apology statement, claiming that the officials were amongst the highest rated in the league throughout the season.
Don't worry, St. Louis. The Cardinals' Twitter handle has your back. Check out this savage form of banter the Cards managed to pull off while praising a flashy double play from Friday night's game against the Rangers.
Yeah, the NHL just needs to take a BIG L on this one. Especially after you consider that their very own social media accounts edited out the pleas from the obvious hand pass from the NBCSN broadcast.
If we're being honest, it was one of the worst non-calls in front of net in recent memory and the Cardinals are simply reminding Twitter of that very fresh fact. They just made sure to troll the league while doing so.
On top of it all, the Blues got their own form of revenge on Friday night, defeating the Sharks 2-1 to even up the series at two games apiece.
