Cardinals Send Perfect Tweet to Fake Announce DeAndre Hopkins Trade With Texans
By Jack Murphy
The Arizona Cardinals recently agreed to terms with the Houston Texans on a trade that would send star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins their way. According to the NFL policy, it is forbidden for teams to make an announcement regarding a trade such as this before any physicals are done. Of course, that's a slight issue right now.
The Cardinals sent out a tweet regarding the acquisition 27-year-old wideout, but made sure to pass it off as relaying a media report.
The Cardinals have found the perfect loophole to announce news regarding their own team. While they can not break the news of any official announcement, there are no rules in place for simply relaying information that is already being touched upon by other sources.
It seems as the Cardinals are too excited about acquiring one of the premier wide receivers in the league. They simply refused to not say anything about the matter, especially when they only had to give up a disappointing David Johnson along with a second and fourth round pick.
Hopkins will be joining forces with reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Kyler Murray for what could be a dangerous offensive duo for years to come.
