The Marlins are fresh off a 6-0 victory over the Cardinals in Tuesday night's matchup.

Cardinals Lineup

The Cards lineup sees wholesale changes Wednesday after an abysmal offensive performance on Tuesday night. Among the newbies will be rookie Rangel Ravelo, making his first big league start in the 5-hole. He batted .333 with 9 home runs and 42 RBI in 63 minor league games this season.

Matt Carpenter leads things off, with Paul DeJong batting second. Jose Martinez starts in right field and hits third, followed by Marcell Ozuna, Ravelo and Dexter Fowler. Tommy Edman will man second base, with Matt Wieters rounding up the order.

Young stud right-hander Daniel Ponce de Leon (0-0, 2.00 ERA) will start on the mound for St. Louis, hoping to build on his two solid starts this season that have resulted in just 4 hits and 2 runs in 9 innings pitched. Manager Mike Schildt will likely loosen Daniel's leash as he becomes comfortable working deeper into games.

Marlins Lineup

Leading off for Miami is Miguel Rojas, followed by Harold Ramirez, who has had an impressive rookie campaign at the plate, batting .331 since being recalled on May 11th. Garrett Cooper bats third, followed by Brett Anderson and Starlin Castro. Curtis Granderson hits sixth, followed by Bryan Holaday and J.T. Riddle.

Taking the bump for the Marlins will be second-year man Trevor Richards (3-7), looking to bounce back after a brutal outing in which he gave up 11 hits and 5 earned runs in just 5 innings of work. On the season, Richards has a 3.68 ERA with 69 strikeouts through 78.1 innings of work.

Tonight's matchup will heavily favor the Cardinals, though there's no telling what could play out after last night's drubbing by the Marlins came as a surprise to just about everyone.
