Cardinals Lineup

The St. Louis Cardinals crawled their way back off of Mets closer Edwin Diaz to tie the game at 4-4 before it got suspended. Paul DeJong, who has been a Mets killer in his career, slugged his 10th homer last night off of Mets starter Jacob deGrom.

On the mound for the Cardinals will be Daniel Ponce de Leon. The Redbirds righty is starting in place of the injured place of Adam Wainwright. Ponce de Leon did make one previous start in the Majors on April 23 where he gave up one run and struck out seven.

Mets Lineup

Todd Frazier will hope to spark the Mets lineup over the Cardinals. The man who is typically energetic has batted .313 over his last 15 games with 4 homers and 11 RBI. Along with Frazier, Mets outfielder Michael Conforto has been hot over the bast week with a batting average of .308.

Steven Matz will take the mound for the Mets this evening. Matz is 5-4 with a 3.88 ERA on the year. In his last outing, the southpaw threw 120 pitches, which matches his career high.
