The Cincinnati Reds will play host to the St. Louis Cardinals as they get ready to open their series on Thursday at the Great American Ball Park.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET. The game will be aired on FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports Ohio, and MLB Network (out-of-market only). Live streaming options are also available via the MLB Streams subreddit.
Reds Lineup
Jesse Winker will lead things off for the Reds, followed by six-time MLB All-Star Joey Votto. The former NL MVP has struggled mightily as of late, collecting only 3 hits in his last 28 at-bats. After Votto will be Eugenio Suárez, Yasiel Puig and Scooter Gennett. Scooter has not been productive this season by any means, maintaining a .156 BA to go along with a .182 OBP and .369 OPS.
Tanner Roark will start for Cincinnati. The former National got rocked in his last start, allowing 7 runs on a career-high 13 hits in less than 5 innings pitched. Paul Goldschmidt is a player that has always seen the ball well coming out of Roark's hands, holding a .333 AVG in 15 career plate appearances against him.
Cardinals Lineup
Tommy Edman will come to bat first for the Cards, followed by Jose Martinez, Paul Goldschmidt and Tyler O'Neill. Goldschmidt hasn't been himself the season, hitting only .255 with 18 homers and 42 RBI. The speedy Dexter Fowler will hit fifth, with Matt Wieters behind him as Yadier Molina gets the day off. In the seven-hole is All-Star Paul DeJong, who has been disgracing that title recently. In his last seven games, DeJong holds a .115 BA with 0 homers, 1 RBI, and 0 stolen bases.
Dakota Hudson will be on the mound for St. Louis. The 24 year-old is currently sporting a 3.48 ERA to compliment his 8-4 record.
