By Daniel Marcillo
The St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals finish up their short two game series Wednesday night. The Cardinals rode the arm of Jack Flaherty to a 2-0 victory over their in state rivals on Tuesday. The Cardinals have won four straight as they look to climb back into the NL Central lead.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch from Kaufmann stadium will be delivered at 8:15 p.m. ET. The game will air on Fox Sports Kansas City and Fox Sports Mid-West. It can also be streamed using the MLB Streams subreddit.
Cardinals Lineup
Paul Goldschmidt will hit third and play first base. He has 26 home runs on the year, 11 of which came in July. Cardinals' No. 12 prospect Randy Arozarena makes his MLB debut and is in the nine-hole, playing center field.
Second-year hurler Dakota Hudson looks to keep the Cardinals winning streak alive. He is 10-6 with a 4.01 ERA, but has not reached the fifth inning in his last three starts. In his last outing, Hudson failed to strike out a batter across four innings of work, surrendering six hits and two runs.
Royals Lineup
The right-handed power bat of Jorge Soler bats fourth and is the designated hitter. He is third in the AL with 35 home runs and boasts a .555 slugging percentage. Cheslor Cuthbert plays third base and bats fifth. He has gone four straight games without a hit, a streak he'd like to see end Wednesday night.
Brad Keller gets the nod on the mound for the Royals. Keller is 7-12 with a 4.09 ERA. His 152 innings rank eighth in the American League, and he's fanned 112 batters this year.
The I-70 series only features four games this season and if the Royals win they will split the series for the first time since 2007.
