Carlos Correa Dedicates Game 2 Walk-Off Home Run to Teen Astros Fan Battling Cancer

Sometimes, great moments in sports are even bigger than they first appear.
Houston Astros star shortstop Carlos Correa was the hero in Game 2 of the ALCS, as he belted a walk-off home run in the 11th inning to tie the series at one heading to New York.
It may have won his team the game, but Correa had something else on his mind, as the 25-year-old swiftly dedicated the home run to a young Astros fan who is currently battling cancer.
"Next home run I hit will be for you," Correa said to Jalen Garcia. "When you see me pointing, I'll be pointing at you."
Athletes make promises all the time and don't always come through, but Correa held up his end of the bargain in one of the biggest moments of his career.
"That was for you, Jalen," Correa said on Monday. "Keep fighting. We are with you."
We can only assume that Jalen was watching intently, and when he saw Correa pointing, you can only imagine how pumped and emotional he got after that huge win thanks to one of his favorite players.
