The Astros have been an absolute juggernaut all season. They've set a franchise record for wins thanks to a historically good offense and downright dominant starting rotation.

However, no team is infallible, especially in the MLB postseason, and if there's one X-factor for the 2017 World Series champions heading into October, it's superstar shortstop Carlos Correa.

From the top on down, Houston's lineup is one of the deepest in baseball. As a team, they've put up a ridiculous 125 wRC+. But, if they're to achieve their full potential in these playoffs, then they'll have to lean heavily on Correa. He's slashing .279/.358/.586 on the year and has been a vital part of the batting order.

Of course, he also has to stay healthy. Back issues have kept Correa out of the lineup down the stretch, and it's still unclear whether or not his injuries will force him to miss games in the ALDS.

The Astros need him to stay healthy. Both offensively and defensively, he's a linchpin for Houston, and that's not even mentioning the fact that he's a proven performer in October.

In his 32-game postseason career, he owns a .364 wOBA and 132 wRC+, truly impressive numbers considering the caliber of the competition ramps up significantly in the playoffs.

The Astros have a strong team this year, there's no denying that. But, they're going to need Correa if they're going to win their second World Series title in franchise history.
