Carlos Gomez Calls Out Mark Teixeira for Saying Mets Needed to Fire Carlos Beltran

The Houston Astros' cheating scandal has everyone choosing sides now that three managers have lost their jobs due to what went down over the past few seasons.
Brand new New York Mets manager Carlos Beltran was the latest to be let go due to his involvement with the Astros cheating. Prior to Beltran stepping down, he was criticized by former teammate Mark Teixeira, who called for the newly-hired skipper to be fired due to his involvement in the scandal. Those comments did not sit well at well with former Mets outfielder Carlos Gomez.
For @teixeiramark25 to be calling for a former teammate to be fired instead of keeping his comments to himself is definitely a sucker move! "let him who is without sin cast the first stone"...... #SaintTeixeira https://t.co/2D2QD6g9ub

While Beltran's actions were certainly worthy of punishment, perhaps Teixeira would have been better suited just staying out of this one. Calling out a former teammate is never a good look.
Still, the Mets seemed to agree with Teixeira, as Beltran was out of a job shortly after.

Gomez called the interaction a "sucker move," and while he didn't defend Beltran, he clearly opposed Teixeira's decision to lambaste his former teammate.
