VIDEO: Panthers Fire Off Perfect Twitter Response to Bucs' Gronk Trade With Help From Steve Harvey
By Michael Luciano
The Carolina Panthers were already mentally preparing for what should be a pretty trying season, but they now have to deal with the additional fact that former New England Patriots tight end and future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski is in their division after he called forth a trade to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carolina channeled a stunned Steve Harvey on New Year's Eve after the shocking realization that one of the best tight ends of all time is coming to Tampa Bay.
Stunned and shocked. Can't same we blame you for feeling that way, Charlotte.
Expect Brady and Gronk to FEAST whenever they play against the Panthers. Not only will Matt Rhule's group have to play the Bucs twice this season, but they will do so in Year 1 of a likely rebuild -- and their defense projects to be among the worst in the entire NFL.
The Panthers lost Luke Kuechly and have yet to replace him, which isn't what you want when you have to play this revamped, super-charged Tampa offense.
The Panthers might be able to joke about having to face Gronk right now, but things could get really ugly when TB12 starts picking that defense apart in the fall.
