The Philadelphia Eagles family got bigger this week with the arrival of the NFL Draft -- and while most of the buzz has surrounded the selection of quarterback Jalen Hurts, it's another Philly quarterback who has reason to celebrate some family news right about now.
Franchise QB Carson Wentz announced Tuesday that he and his wife, Maddie, welcomed a baby girl into the world on Monday night. Meet Hadley Jayne Wentz!

The family appears in the very best of spirits in this first batch of publicized photos. Wentz, who became engaged to definitely looks the part in that "Promoted to Daddy" t-shirt.
And to make things even sweeter and more poetic, the birth announcement comes four years to the day after the Eagles selected Wentz with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. That's got to mean something, folks!
"This is my thought process. I gotta do everything I can to make sure Carson Wentz is standing on that podium, holding that trophy. And it’s funny, when I say that, I see it, man. I see it." -- Howie Roseman on WIP this morning

We wish nothing but the best to Maddie, little Hadley Jayne, and Carson as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime. The offseason may feel a bit dreary in these days of quarantine, and that makes magical moments like these all the more special.
