Cavs Reportedly Name JB Bickerstaff Interim Head Coach After John Beilein Resigns

The Cleveland Cavaliers signed John Beilein to a five-year contract to lead the team through a tough rebuilding process.
After some shocking rumors, he is reportedly officially stepping down as head coach Wednesday. JB Bickerstaff will be promoted in the process.
Story filed to ESPN: After a brief and tumultuous tenure, John Beilein is leaving as Cleveland's coach. Associate HC JB Bickerstaff will be elevated to head coach. Beilein's expected to say goodbye to staff and players on Wednesday upon team's return from All-Star Break.

The news that this could possibly happen dropped Sunday night during the NBA All-Star Game courtesy of a Woj bomb. The team is not even back from the break yet and Beilein has already made up his mind.
This move comes after a 14-40 start to the season in which Beilein faced backlash from veteran players from the start. His mood seemed to worsen as time went on. Beilein even agreed to walk away from the rest of the money owed to him on the contract, proving how badly he wanted out.

Bickerstaff now takes over in his first year with the Cavaliers. He was the head coach in Memphis for two seasons before heading to Cleveland to coach under Beilein. Now, Bickerstaff is running a team that is so bad its head coach is leaving millions on the table just to get out of town.
