Cavaliers Reveal 2019-20 City Edition Uniforms In Honor of Franchise’s 50th Anniversary
The Cleveland Cavaliers' new jerseys have been introduced, the latest iteration of Nike's successful City Edition launch. The Cavaliers are celebrating their 50th anniversary this season, so the new kits pay homage to the franchise's history.
The Cavs incorporated various elements of their previous jersey designs and created an awesome new look, combining the past with the future.
Cavaliers fans should be ecstatic over the team's new threads, especially considering some of the less aesthetically pleasing City Edition jerseys other franchises have unveiled -- yes, we're looking squarely at the Mavericks.
The color scheme, large lettering, and artistic "Cle" on the chest mesh nicely and incorporate aspects from the various eras of the Cavaliers' history.
In addition to this, the Cavaliers are introducing a brand new court design to go with their uniforms.
The court at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse be getting a bit of a style upgrade, and will feature the team's 50th anniversary logo on both ends of the floor.
The Cavaliers will be donning their newest threads in 11 games throughout the 2019-20 season, and they will debut the kits on Nov. 27 against the Orlando Magic.
