Cavaliers Twitter is Completely Defeated During Blowout Against the Mavericks
By Karl Rasmussen
It's hard to run the Twitter account for a struggling sports team. Maintaining positivity within the fan base can be quite a tall task when you run a social media account for a team that can't get it done on the court, and the Cavaliers' Twitter summed that up perfectly on Friday night.
While Cleveland was getting completely outmatched by Luka Doncic and the Mavs, their Twitter account was trying to offer some sort of update on the game. Well, this was the best they could come up with:
Trailing by 40 points after three quarters, the Cavaliers Twitter account was simply lost for words. Instead of trying to inspire the fan base or rally the team, they simply tweeted "we get it, Dallas."
Yeah, that just about sums up the Cavs performance on Friday night.
The account's previous attempt at trying to start a second half comeback clearly didn't work. In fact, after that tweet, Dallas went out and dropped 45 points in the third quarter. Not exactly the good juju the social media account was hoping to instill.
No matter what the Cavs did, the Mavericks got to the basket with ease. This game was really never even a competition as the Cavaliers didn't stand a chance. Neither did their social media team.
