CC Sabathia Could Rejoin Yankees for Indians Series After Latest Bullpen Session
By Jerry Trotta

There's no doubting that the Yankees' starting rotation needs another arm to soak up some innings, and that help could be on the way in a few days' time.
Beloved left-handed vet CC Sabathia was reportedly feeling good after throwing from the bullpen mound on Sunday prior to New York's tilt against the Blue Jays. The six-time All-Star will do so again on Tuesday, and if the good news continues, he could rejoin the club's rotation during next week's series against the Indians.
CC Sabathia (right knee inflammation) threw from the bullpen mound on Sunday and reported no issues. He is scheduled to do so again on Tuesday in New York, and if that goes well, Sabathia could re-join the Yankees rotation during the Aug. 15-18 series against the Indians.

The 39-year-old has been on the shelf since the end of July when he was diagnosed with knee inflammation, an ailment he's battled over the last couple of seasons.
When you consider how concerning CC's latest update was, Pinstripe fans should be feeling significantly relieved at his reported progress.
Sounds like CC Sabathia’s IL stint could be more than his standard “time-out.” Aaron Boone said that he doesn’t want to put a time frame on CC’s return.

Aaron Boone's rotation has settled down over the last week, but they would absolutely welcome Dub back with open arms, despite the fact that he's logged a 4.78 ERA across 90.1 innings in 2019.
However, everybody knows that the former ALCS MVP is a different animal once the all-important months of August, September and October roll around.
Stay tuned for updates as to how CC fares after his bullpen on Tuesday.
