CC Sabathia Has Hilarious Quote on Getting Old After Facing Off Against Blue Jays
By Parker White

New York Yankees starter CC Sabathia is entering his 19th and final season, and if he had any second thoughts about retiring, those were squashed Monday night after taking the mound against the youthful Toronto Blue Jays.
At 38, Sabathia has faced a lot of hitters over his career and in recent years, most of them are younger than him. However, how many are sons of former big leaguers that Sabathia once faced?
Not many, until he squared off against Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Cavan Biggio, which, to Sabathia, was a clear indicator that it's about time to pack up and call it a career.

On Monday, Sabathia gave up two hits to Guerrero Jr. and held Biggio hitless. The veteran southpaw did a better job against the older Guerrero, holding him to seven hits over 37 chances during the former sluggers playing days. Sabathia never faced Craig Biggio, as they played in different leagues and their paths never crossed.

This isn't the first time Sabathia has faced off against the sons of players he once faced. Delino DeShields Jr, Adalberto Mondesi and Eric Young Jr. had fathers in the show, and they are a combined 2-for-13 against the veteran left-hander.
Maybe Sabathia should stick around a little longer because he owns these youngsters, but it's safe to say that facing these young hitters is a big reminder that he's not as youthful as he once was.
