CC Sabathia Hopes to Rejoin Yankees on ALCS Roster
By Ryan Giglio

Leaving CC Sabathia off of the ALDS roster was tough for the New York Yankees.
Both Sabathia, who is retiring after the season, and the Yankees would love for the lefty to play a role during the playoffs as they make a run for a World Series title.
The veteran was unavailable against the Twins in the ALDS due to a left shoulder injury, but is hopeful to return to the squad for the ALCS.
CC Sabathia said that he'll get on a mound Wednesday. He hopes to be on the roster for the ALCS.

I asked him what it's been like to watch these three games.
"Nerve-racking!" Then he let out that big CC laugh.
His fate on the roster will be determined after a bullpen session on Wednesday. The hefty lefty has not pitched since Sept. 24. It's unknown what role Sabathia will have on the roster if he's determined healthy enough to make it.
CC Sabathia could be healthy for ALCS. Plans bullpen session for Wed. "I feel pretty good. It’s just up to them. So, we’ll wait and see how I bounce back. I’ll throw the bullpen and, like I said, go from there," Sabathia said.

In 2017, Sabathia gave up five earned runs with 19 strikeouts in 19 innings against the Indians and eventual World Series-winning Astros. Whether he starts or comes from the bullpen, the 39-year-old has proven that he knows how to pitch in big games.
The Yankees will face either Houston or Tampa Bay in ALCS starting on Oct. 12 after sweeping the Twins in the ALDS and they could certainly use another veteran arm on the roster.
